Side Effects!!!

Okay, I’m much much better – no more pneumonia, but those steroids!!! They work, but they sure increase my appetite! Now, I’ve gotta get to where I can get out and get to walkin… I’m thinking about starting a walking club – what do you think?!?!
This weekend, I was afraid I was gonna turn into the RainMan – ‘member that movie? We dodged a bullet with ole Ike, huh? And yet we’re in an enviable position to help our neighbors – let’s do it. I just received an email from a friend at church – there is a need for clean clothing in good repair – it’s for some of the evacuees. If you wanna contribute a few items, please drop ‘em by the funeral home, and I’ll get ‘em to the church or to the proper people. I guess this is a side effect of Ike, huh? This is a perfect example of how we may be of support and comfort to people in grief – nobody’s died, but believe me… these people are in grief – they’ve had tremendous losses! Please join me in helpin ‘em out a bit.
