Should you plan your own funeral?

That depends… You wanna have a little control over your memorial service? You wanna make it a bit easier on your survivors? What about if you don’t neccessarily know what you want, but you know what you don’t want… write it down – we’ll put it on file. What if you know some, or even most, of what you want, but not everything… then let’s write it down and put it on file – should you later decide the rest, we’ll add it to the file. What if you change your mind over time – we’ll open the file and change the plans – simple as that. Did you know planning is free – that’s right… at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, it’s totally free to plan! That said… should you want to pay for it, then you pay today’s price, which prevents inflation. I want you to know we are heavily regulated by the Texas Banking Department, which means if you pay now, which is called ‘Pre-Need’ (among other things), then we are going to dot every single ‘i’ and cross every single ‘t’. We are going to do it right. And we’re gonna do it right the first time. We have an excellent record with the state, and we plan to keep it that way! Well, anyway… just give it some thought. I’ve been in charge of making funeral arrangements for my wife and both of her parents – her dad died seventeen years ago today. All three of those services were planned in advance, which proved to be a very good thing.
