A Light Touch

June 15th, 2009

I’m sorry I haven’t written until now – I took a few days off – some vacation time in Oklahoma.  While away, I visited a museum with some pretty special western art.  Some attracted me more than others and I wondered why.  I’m more attracted to paintings depicting a touch of light, perhaps a sunrise or sunset – perhaps a candle flame or lantern…  I thought of the saying, ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder’, and began to think about how there had to be a creator of each piece of art in that museum.  A gifted human being created each painting, and to do so, he/she must have felt inspired.  I thought about how each artist represented in the museum had to have been created by the Creator of Light & Life and all good things such as grace, forgiveness, healing, comfort, support, direction, provider, and the list goes on and on…  You and I were also created by that same Creator we call God, and He gifted each of us in such ways that if we were to use our gift/s to help others, He would surely be pleased.  Think today, about your gift/s – by that, I mean… the very thing/s you’ve always just somehow known how to do – that which comes naturally to you.  My prayer is that this ‘blog’ somehow inspires you to use your gift/s to help others – we all need a light touch from another beautiful human being.  Decide today to let His light shine through!
