just to clarify…

After what I wrote yesterday, I thought perhaps I should clarify… I am free of clinical depression & have been for the past four years. I’m good-to-go. I’m strong – perhaps even stronger than ever. I not only am the ’Funeral Director in Charge’ – I’m on call, or available, 24/7. I’m most fulfilled when meeting with families as arrangements are made, especially the family that feels deeply – why? Because I feel deeply – this is not just a job to me – it’s what I was born to do. My specialty is helping families create just the right service when their circumstances are unique.

I believe it takes a lot of courage to speak openly about depression. So many people suffer in silence from this terrible illness. I respect you a great deal for being courageous and a leader in our community.

Thank you very much. I just hope that by sharing my story, someone may be helped in some way. I believe we all have our stories, and if we share, others might be helped – that’s really what this (www.ChatWithHatch.com) website is all about – I just wish more people, like you, would write in – thank you for having done so!
