I'm thankful for what isn't!
November 25th, 2009
In thinking about what all I’m thankful for, and there’s a lot, I couldn’t help, but be thankful for a lot that I don’t have. I haven’t lost a job, I haven’t broken my hip, I haven’t this, I haven’t that, etc. etc. etc. So… this Thanksgiving, as you thank God for what you have, thank Him also for what you don’t have:)

Happy Thanksgiving, Hatch. Goodness, I miss W-H-B and the fond association with our staff. Hopefully I can return to duty soon. I have a lot to be thankful for ~ my very serious medical problems seem to have been conquered by the grace of God and outstanding doctors. You are most correct. We should be thankful for the things we do not have and that God has spared us from dealing with. Those of us who have hosted these things and are now free from them can affirm your commentary. I hadn’t thought of it in those terms before. Thank you for offering this suggestion for closer and deeper introspection of our lives. Best wishes for continued success and being a friend. The older we get, the more precious friends become as their numbers tend to diminish due to age and passage of time.
